He married Lucy Arabella Stoddard, with whom he had several children, including Josephine W. By the time of the 1880 Census, Marrs was listed as a traveling salesman and had six children. His career took him into the wholesale hat business, where he worked for over fifty years. ==Masonic Involvement== John Marrs was a dedicated Mason, actively involved with Corinthian Lodge, A.F. and A.M., in Concord, Massachusetts. He served as Worshipful Master, notably leading the Lodge’s 105th anniversary celebration in 1902. He was installed Master in 1902. This significant event included a Master Mason’s degree conferral and a reception attended by prominent Masonic officials. His dedication extended beyond the Lodge, serving as Past High Priest of Walden Arch Chapter in Concord, demonstrating his deep commitment to Masonic ideals and community involvement. ==Later Life and Legacy== Marrs resided in West Concord for many years. He passed away on April 28, 1932, and his funeral was held at the West Concord Union Church, featuring full Masonic rites conducted by Corinthian Lodge, with a Masonic committal at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. His contributions to the Masonic community in Concord are remembered, and his career in the wholesale hat industry exemplifies his lifelong dedication and resilience. ==References== * "John H.
